2012 RESNET Building Performance Conference to Feature Special Home Builder Track

There is a new trend in the housing market where builders are educating consumers of the superior energy performance of their homes by marketing their homes HERS Index.  Already over 90 national and state builders have committed to having the homes they build energy rated and marketing their homes’ HERS Index.  To view the builders that have made the HERS Index commitment click on RESNET Energy Smart Builders

A special feature of the 2012 RESNET Building Performance Conference is a track dedicated to home builders.  This track will include sessions on ENERGY STAR, using the HERS Index as a marketing tool, the need for a national home energy performance label, marketing energy efficiency to homeowners and a roundtable of builder success stories. A part of this track will be a special series of building science sessions offered by EEBA.

The builder track will present an opportunity for builders to interact with the leading builders in the nation and the rating industry as well as offer new business opportunities.  The 2012 Conference registration will cover both the RESNET and Home Builder sessions.

The 2012 RESNET Conference’s keynote speaker is Jeffrey T. Mezger, President and CEO of KB Home and Chairman of the Leading Builders of America.

The annual RESNET Building Performance Conference is the national event dedicated to home energy ratings, ENERGY STAR for Homes, and marketing energy efficiency to home owners.  The 2012 RESNET Building Performance Conference will take place in Austin, Texas on February 27 – 29, 2012.
