Cardice Howard, Operations Manager of Garland Insulating of Dallas, Texas has been appointed to fill a vacancy as a RESNET Associate Member Representative of the RESNET Board of Directors. Cardice Howard has been with Garland Insulating serving as Operations Manager since 2012. Ms. Howard brings more than 20 years’ experience in the insulation industry and leads the company’s safety and training programs in addition to directing operations. Previously, Ms. Howard was Vice President of Select Insulation & Drywall where she was honored with the “Contractor of the Year” award under the Certified Insulation Program. Ms. Howard started her career in the early nineties with Garland Insulating as Scheduler and then Production Manager before continuing to progress her career with large national consolidators Builders First Source and United Subcontractors Inc. (USI). Ms. Howard is heavily involved in the industry and serves on the board of directors for the High Performance Insulation Professionals (HPIP) organization, a collaboration of major insulation manufacturers working together to create a unified training credential for insulation contractors. As a leading expert on production training, Ms. Howard was also tapped to work exclusively with RESNET to develop an online software application for field insulation technician training which was released nationally at the 2014 RESNET Conference. She also holds a host of technical and building science credentials including BIBs, Certified Performance Home, CertaSpray, Forticel and HPIP Platinum Level certifications. Ms. Howard’s term will end on December 31, 2015.
