Introducing Jim Petersen and Dennis Stroer – New Members of the RESNET Board of Directors

Jim Petersen and Dennis Stroer were elected to the RESNET Board of Directors in the recent 2011 RESNET Board Election.  Their two year term will begin on January 1, 2012.

Jim Petersen manages the research and development process to improve the quality, cost, and durability of PulteGroup’s Del Webb, DiVosta, Centex and Pulte homes. Jim also manages their energy efficiency efforts, work with our partners to develop new products and processes, and manage our issue resolution process. He is a Mechanical Engineer with 30 years of experience in the design and development of engineered components and systems.

For 20 years, Dennis Stroer has owned Compliance Data Services, Inc. AKA Calcs-Plus, in Venice, Fla. He performs HVAC load calculations and Energy calculations for the HVAC and construction industry for the permitting process, and HVAC system design & load calculations and Energy calculations (residential and light commercial), airside diagnostics, building diagnostics related to infiltration and moisture control, and Class 1 Energy Ratings and the Florida Green Building certification. Dennis provides training in calculation & design procedures related to HVAC industry. As a Class 1 Energy Rater, he provides energy ratings for HERS index for LEED certification, Energy Star certification & Green Home program certification including Florida Green Building Coalition & HBA certification. Dennis is an ACCA certified instructor for Manual J v8, a member ACCA Manual D Technical Advisory Committee and the RESNET Technical Committee, and is a Building America Partner through University of Central Florida – Florida Solar Energy Center.
