The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires all Home Energy Raters must complete EPA training on Version 3 of ENERGY STAR for Homes to be able to certify ENERGY STAR homes after January 1, 2012. The training must be completed by an EPA trained RESNET accredited Rater Training Provider.
RESNET has posted an online map where EPA trained training providers can post their training opportunities to assist RESNET certified energy raters find Version 3 training nearest to them,. Each site includes the following information:
- The location of the training
- The dates of the training
- The trainer who will conduct the training
- The cost of the training

The Version 3 ENERGY STAR Rater Training is recognized by RESNET as meeting 18 hours of the required Rater Professional Development training.
