New Faces on RESNET Committees

RESNET’s committees are the backbone of the organization.  Volunteers that serve on a wide range of committees from technical to ethics and appeals develop RESNET standards, accredit providers and hear appeals.  RESNET’s success is due to the hard work of these committees

RESNET has an infusion of new blood on its committees with the appointment of new chairs and members.

The following are the new appointments:

Standards Management Board

The RESNET ANSI Standard Management Board purpose is to oversee the maintenance of the RESNET ANSI standards and amending the standard.  New members that have been appointed to the board are:

  • CR Herro, Meritage Homes
  • Dave Walls, International Code Council

Standards Development Committee 200

The RESNET Standards Development Committee 200 is responsible to oversee RESNET’s education, training, assessment and certification standards and amending the standards.  The newly appointed member is:

  • JoAnn Spence, PEG

Standards Development Committee 300

The RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 is responsible to oversee RESNET’s technical standards and amending the standards.  New members that have been appointed to the committee are:

  • Charles Cottrell, NAIMA
  • Amy Schmidt, DOW
  • Brian Shanks, Beazer Homes
  • Dan Widenhaus, CLEARresult

Standards Development Committee 900

The RESNET Standards Development Committee 900 is responsible to oversee RESNET’s quality assurance and sampling technical standards and amending the standards.  New positions are:

  • John Hensley, Building Performance Solutions, LLC – Chairman
  • Emelie Cuppernell, Performance Systems Development – Vice Chairwoman

RESNET Accreditation Committee

The RESNET Accreditation Committee is responsible for the oversight of RESNET’s accreditation application review process and accreditation procedures.  The new chairwoman of the committee is:

  • Sandy Beck, Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky

RESNET Ethics and Appeals Committee

The RESNET Ethics and Appeals Committee is responsible for review and determination of quality assurance appeals and ethics violations.  The new chairman of the committee is:

  • Dave Bell, TopBuild Home Services

RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden commented on the new appointments, “RESNET welcomes this new infusion of blood on its critical committees.  With each new member we get new energy and new perspectives.”
