Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes Program Driven by RESNET Ratings

The Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes Program encourages builders to build and consumers to buy new energy efficient homes within Met-Ed, Penelec, and Penn Power utility service territories.

To qualify for the Pennsylvania program, a home must be at least 15 percent more energy efficient than the service area’s current local building codes require. Homes are energy rated by an independent, certified RESNET Home Energy Rater to determine whether they meet program requirements. Builders of qualifying homes are eligible for financial incentives through the program.
