RESNET’s Star Shines at North Carolina ENERGY STAR Conference

On December 8, 2005, the Energy Center of Appalachian State University hosted the highly successful North Carolina ENERGY STAR Conference in Raleigh.  The event attracted over 180 building performance professionals, builders and policy makers. 


 


In recognition to their commitment to ENERGY STAR the conference arranged for Steve Baden, Philip Fairey, and Sam Rashkin to have stars named after them in the registry of the Name A Star Space Launch database.  As part of this honor the designations of the stars named after Baden, Fairey, and Rashkin will be launched into outer space on the Space Services spacecraft. 


 


The stellar differences between RESNET and EPA?  Baden and Fairey’s stars are in the Ursa Major Constellation and Rashkin’s star is the Orion Constellation.
