RESNET Accepting Comments on Proposed Substantive Changes to Proposed Draft ANSI Standard for Testing of Air Leakage, Duct Leakage and the Airflow of Mechanical Ventilation Systems (BSR/RESNET 380-201X PDS-02)

Mar 23, 2015

Previously RESNET submitted a draft of a proposed American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard for the testing of air leakage, duct leakage and the testing of the air flow of mechanical ventilation systems to a consensus public review and comment process.

As part of the consideration of the public comments submitted, the RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 – Technical (SDC 300) has proposed substantive changes to the proposed standard (BSR/RESNET 380-201X PDS-02).

RESNET has released for public review and comment the proposed amendments to the proposed ANSI standard for the testing of air leakage of building enclosures and heating and cooling distribution systems and testing the air flow of mechanical ventilation systems.  The proposed amended language is posted at Proposed Substantive Change to Proposed ANSI Standard on Testing of Air and Duct Leakage and Air Flow of Mechanical Ventilation Systems

Only the proposed changes (denoted in underline strikeout format) are open to comment. Public comments on the proposed changes to the amendment will be accepted until 45 days after the publication of the notice of changes in the ANSI Standards Actions.

To submit your comments click on RESNET Amendment Comment Online Form. Comments are posted real time and you will be able to review comments that were submitted by clicking on Comments Submitted on Proposed Amendments to Proposed Preliminary Draft 02 of BSR/RESNET 380-201X PDS-02.

Comments will be accepted only on the changes to the previously published proposed amendment.

The public comment period will be open until May 11, 2015.

Only comments made through the online system will be accepted.

After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. The revised proposed amendments then will be submitted to the RESNET Standard Management Board for adoption.
