RESNET Adopts Standard Amendment Revising Onsite Rating Quality Assurance Review Procedures

Dec 31, 2014

The RESNET Standards Management Board has adopted a revision to the RESNET quality assurance standard which now requires that quality assurance field reviews be completed on a quarterly basis, if there are homes being rated in each quarter by Rating Quality Assurance Providers’ Quality Assurance Designees.  The amendment was proposed by the RESNET Quality Assurance Committee.

The purpose of the amendment is to assure that quality assurance field reviews are being completed on higher volume Raters within a timeframe that provides greater continuity of quality assurance oversight. The amendment is aimed at ensuring a greater consistency in the reported results and the opportunity for timely corrective action should that be necessary. Overall, the change is intended to enhance the public confidence in the Rating process and increase stakeholder trust in the reported results.

The amendment went through the RESNET consensus based standard amendment public review and comment process.
