The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has agreed to work with RESNET to promote the improvement of home energy performance in the U.S.  NARI will accomplish this goal through urging its remodeling members to become trained and certified as RESNET Energy Smart Contractors.

Through this new partnership NARI member remodeling will be urged to team up with RESNET certified home energy raters to form Energy Smart Teams to undertake comprehensive energy upgrades of existing homes.

NARI has a membership of 7,000 companies and represents more than 100,000 employees in the industry, NARI has just under 60 chapters nationwide. NARI is the only exclusive and independent national association serving the remodeling industry. NARI’s membership is comprised of general remodeling companies nationwide along with national industry manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, publishers, and service providers. NARI members voluntarily subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice that NARI enforces.   For more information click on NARI

RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden commented, “Having NARI as a strategic ally is a game changer.  NARI with its 7,000 member remodeling companies is a key influence in the home improvement market.  Teaming up with NARI and its members will result in a major push of including energy upgrades as a part of the remodeling of an existing home.  This will result in new business opportunities for both home energy raters and remodeling contactors.”
