RESNET Board of Directors Appoints Andy Gordon as Chairman of the RESNET Training and Education Committee and David Bell as Chairman of RESNET Accreditation Committee

At its recent fall 2012 meeting the RESNET Board of Directors appointed new chairmen of its Training and Education Committee and Accreditation Committee.

Andrew Gordon of the Washington State University Energy Program was appointed as the chairman of the RESNET Training and Education Committee.  Andrew replaces Mark Jansen who resigned as the chairman of the committee to assume his duties as President of the RESNET Board.

Andrew Gordon serves on the RESNET Board of Directors.  He is an energy specialist for the Washington State University Energy Program, a RESNET Rating Provider and Rater Training.  Andrew has two decades of experience in program management, implementation and technical assistance to the public and industry.  Andrew is Washington’s lead for the Energy Star Homes Northwest program.  He has worked on numerous residential energy efficiency programs, including the Northwest Energy Efficient manufactured housing program, energy code support and Building America.  Andrew has authored and co-authored numerous technical publications, articles and reports on residential energy efficiency.

Dave Bell of Environments for Living was appointed as the chairman of the RESNET Accreditation Committee.  Dave replaces Andrew Gordon who resigned to take the position of the chairman of the RESNET Training and Education Committee.

Dave Bell is a member of the RESNET Board of Directors and is Director of Environments for Living.  Environments for Living is an accredited RESNET Rating Provider.

The RESNET Training and Education Committee is responsible for issuing interpretations on Chapter Two of the national rating standards, maintenance of the national rater test, approval of all RESNET education programs, and maintenance of RESNET rater certification categories.  For more information click on RESNET Training & Education Committee
