RESNET Enters into Alliance with Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) to Promote High Energy Performance Homes

RESNET has entered into an alliance with the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA). The objective of the effort  is to “increase the opportunity to build, retrofit and rate high performance homes through establishing and maintaining building science education in conjunction with evaluating building energy performance”.

The goal of the EEBA and RESNET alliance is to “Demonstrate to both EEBA and RESNET constituencies how educational and product/service resources are applied at the consumer level of home evaluation, building design and retrofit.

In the agreement EEBA commits to:

  • Provide a RESNET Educational Track at the EEBA at the 2013 and 2014 Excellence in Building Conference
  • Provide RESNET a comp expo booth at the 2013 and 2014 EEBA conferences
  • Provide marketing collaboration and support for RESNET events through e-communications, calendar of events and other media-mix opportunities
  • Provide four complimentary registration to RESNET Rater Members at EEBA’s Houses That Work workshops in 2013 and 2014
  • Connect EEBA education to the RESNET HERS® Index
  • Increase the collaboration between energy efficient product manufacturers to demonstrate to both the RESNET and EEBA constituencies the features and benefits of communicating the value energy efficiency product/service resources

RESNET commits to:

  • Provide an EEBA Building Science Education Track at the 2013 and 2014 RESNET Building Performance Conference
  • Provide EEBA a complimentary exhibit at the 2013 and 2014 RESNET conference
  • Promote EEBA as a provider of Rater professional development courses for RESNET sessions at EEBA events
  • Provide marketing collaboration and support of EEBA events
