RESNET Appoints Housing Industry Advisory Council

The homebuilding industry is a key customer of RESNET’s services.  To better understand the needs of the industry and provide a voice to it, RESNET Board of Directors President David Goldstein has appointed a Housing Industry Advisory Council.  The council’s role includes review of the RESNET Strategic Planning Framework and the annual priorities of the organization.

Members of the advisory council are:

David J. Kaiserman (Chairman)

David is President of Lennar Ventures, a division of Lennar Corporation, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders.  Lennar Ventures directs over $1 billion annually in Corporate Development activities across a wide variety of areas within the Company, including (i) alternative investments and alliances (i.e. non-land) (ii) Government Affairs, (iii) National Purchasing and (iv) Green Strategy.  Mr. Kaiserman is actively involved within the Homebuilding industry and serves as the company’s representative to both the Government Affairs and

Green Committees of the High Production Builders Council of the National Association of Homebuilders.

Al Cardenas, Tew Cardenas LLP

Al Cardenas has been named top in the areas of law, business and politics.  He is a partner in the law firm of Tew Cardenas LLP, as well as a founder of Cardenas Partners LLC; government consulting firms in Miami, Florida, Washington, DC and Tallahassee, Florida.  He formerly served on the Board of Directors of Fannie Mae (1985 – 1990) and on the board of Directors of Capital Bank (1988 – 1991).

David R. Goodfriend, Goodfriend Governmental Affairs

David specializes in renewable energy financing.  In addition to being of counsel at the firm, he served as Deputy Staff Secretary to President Clinton and was  professional staff member to congressional committees chaired by Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI) and Charles B. Rangel (D-NY).

Mitch Kidder, Weiner Brodsky Sidman Kider PC

Mitch has represented mortgage companies and homebuilders on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters before HUD, VA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
