RESNET Request for Qualifications- IR Report Reviewers

RESNETRESNET has adopted Guidelines for Thermographic Inspections of Buildings.  The guidelines require that in order to be IR certified by RESNET a rater or Building Performance Auditor must complete a course of study that fully complies

with the Level I Guidelines of the American Society for Nondestructive

Testing  (ASNT).   Those raters who have received their training outside RESNET must submit three thermography reports following these guidelines for review by RESNET.  RESNET is seeking individuals who are qualified to review and process IR Certification reports.

Minimum Qualifications required:
Submit documentation or certification of:

  • ASNT Compliant Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer or higher level
  • Minimum of one (1) year documented field experience
  • A minimum of three (3) IR reports that comply with the RESNET IR Standard
  • RESNET Rater designation or higher
  • Minimum documented one (1) year rater experience
  • Must be able to apply the RESNET IR standard to certification reports
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Work Task Description:

  • Review reports in compliance with RESNET IR Standards
  • Review & grade interpretation of IR images
  • Identify any misinterpretations or errors
  • Timely communication with IR Committee and RESNET Administration
  • Each review and submittal of findings shall be accomplished within 5 business days
  • Findings will be subject to a QA process
