Using HERS® Index Scores as Compliance Option to Building Energy Code is New National Trend

Dec 16, 2014

Across the nation there is a trend for code jurisdictions to adopt a HERS® Index Score option to energy codes.  To date over 150 local and state code jurisdictions have adopted an energy rating option to their codes.   This movement has gained momentum with the International Code Council adopting an Energy Rating Index option in the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code.

Through a partnership between RESNET and the International Code Conference, there is an exciting opportunity for raters to add IECC code inspections to their business delivery.

A special feature of the 2015 RESNET Building Performance Conference is a track on HERS® Index in Code Compliance – Compliance Flexibility for Builders and Business Opportunities for Raters
