  • Linking contractors and energy raters to undertake comprehensive home retrofits.
  • Providing the opportunity for certified RESNET home energy raters and auditors and contractors to collaborate, exchange resources, and enhance their expertise in recommending and implementing energy efficiency retrofits.
  • Connecting qualified contractors and certified energy auditors at a local level to share knowledge and best practices when inspecting and testing a home, and recommend cost-effective improvements to increase its energy efficiency.
  • Encouraging contractors to become trained and certified as RESNET Energy Smart Contractors.

RESNET and Service Partners, LLC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together in promoting improved home energy performance in the U.S. The major component of the MOU is to foster the linking insulation contractors and energy raters to undertake comprehensive home retrofits.

Service Partners is the largest distributor of residential fiberglass insulation and related contractor accessories in North America. Through its nationwide network of distribution centers, it supplies a full line of insulation products, insulation accessories, weatherization products and other building materials to thousands of contractors and retailers nationwide.

CertainTeed Corporation, a leading manufacturer of building materials, and the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET), a robust network of energy auditors and contractors, are joining forces to help increase residential energy efficiency.

This new partnership provides the opportunity for certified RESNET home energy raters and auditors and contractors to collaborate, exchange resources, and enhance their expertise in recommending and implementing energy efficiency retrofits.

CertainTeed and RESNET will help to connect qualified insulation contractors and certified energy auditors at a local level to share knowledge and best practices when inspecting and testing a home, and recommend cost-effective improvements to increase its energy efficiency. CertainTeed will subsidize the cost of the training for its contractor customers to help them earn their designation as a RESNET EnergySmart Contractor.
