Now is the time to replace your inefficient furnace and save on your monthly heating costs. The U.S. government is offering a 30% federal tax credit, up to $1,500, on the purchase and installation of qualifying ENERGY STAR labeled energy-efficient furnaces. Note that this energy-efficient tax credit applies to gas, propane and oil furnaces only, and not to electric furnaces.
