Radiant Barriers

Radiant barriers are generally installed in the attic to reduce summer heat gain and reduce the amount of energy consumption required for air conditioning. Made from a highly reflective material, radiant barriers installed in the attic reflect heat away from the living space below. Radiant barriers are used in conjunction with traditional insulation, which traps air within its fibers or particles to further reduce heat transfer.
