Draft PDS-02 Addendum 101 Instructor Professional Development (Opens May 13th, 2026)

RESNET® releases draft PDS-02 of Addendum 101, Instructor Professional Development, for public review and comment. The addendum amends the HERS® Standards Chapter 2 requirements for professional development course hours and what will qualify.

Comments will be accepted on underlined and strike through text in red print within draft PDS-02. To review and comment on the Draft follow the links below. The public comment period begins May 13, 2026, and ends June 12, 2026.

Tips and Reminders for Submitting Public Comments

Comments must pertain to the changes shown in the draft as either strike-through or underlined text in red print. Comments not on the changes under consideration will be rejected.
Comments should include a specific proposed change to the text of the draft open for comment and an explanation sufficient for the review committees to understand the commenter’s concern or objection. Proposed added text must be underlined and text proposed to be removed must be shown using strike-through. If not submitted in this format, the public comment may be rejected.
Do not submit comments on other chapters or on sections or proposed changes that are not identified as open for public comment by red print. Comments not on the proposal under consideration will be rejected.
If you submit public comment representing the collective interests of a group of stakeholders, you are encouraged to submit ONE public comment and identify all stakeholders in that comment. While not required, this expedites the ability of the committees to respond to commenters in a timely manner.
