The RESNET® Board of Directors: Representing the industry The RESNET Board of Directors represents the interests of RESNET’s members and the broader home energy rating industry. The Board is composed of elected representatives from each membership category, including certified RESNET HERS® Raters and accredited Providers, as well as representatives from key industry stakeholders: production builders, contractors, code officials, appraisers, and water efficiency organizations. Board members are elected by their respective membership category and serve two-year terms. The Board provides strategic leadership and governance for RESNET by: Maintaining the organization’s strategic vision Providing fiduciary oversight of RESNET’s financial resources Ensuring compliance with the RESNET By-Laws and applicable IRS and California state regulations Providing governance and oversight to advance RESNET’s mission and long-term sustainability To view current Board members, visit the RESNET Board of Directors webpage. 2026 RESNET Board of Directors Elections Each year, RESNET members elect representatives to the Board of Directors through an online election. Board members serve two-year terms and are eligible for re-election. RESNET encourages qualified candidates from across its membership categories to participate in the lectio process, including leaders whose perspectives reflect the continued growth and diversity of the HERS industry. Serving on the board provides an opportunity to help guide the future of residential energy efficiency and strengthen the values of RESNET programs nationwide. The RESNET Board meets four times each year, with two meetings held virtually and two in person. Additionally virtual meetings may be called by the Board President as needed. Seats Up for Election The tenure of the following seats will expire on December 31, 2026: RESNET Accredited Provider Representatives – 2 Seats Certified RESNET HERS® Rater Representatives – 2 Seats Associate Member Representative – 1 Seat Election Schedule Milestone Date Nominations Open July 15, 2026 Nomination Deadline August 15, 2026 Candidate Confirmation September 20, 2026 Voting Period October 1–31, 2026 Election Results Announced November 10, 2026 New Term Begins January 1, 2027 How to Become a Candidate Individuals interested in serving on the RESNET Board of Directors must submit a completed nomination application by August 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed by the 2026 Board Election Nominations Committee to confirm eligibility and prepare the slate of candidates.
