Draft PDS-03, MINHERS® Addendum 52f, Eligibility Requirements for HVAC Installation Grading

Proposed Addendum 52f amends the RESNET Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards (MINHERS), Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 to establish eligibility requirements for Raters and RFI’s to qualify for conducting HVAC grading used in HERS® Ratings. This final addendum will replace interim Addendum 52i that establishes interim requirements until it is completed.

RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 has approved the changes to draft PDS-02 of MINHERS® Addendum 52f based on public comments. Those changes are shown in draft PDS-03 in strikeout/underline text in red print. Changes to Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 proposed in drafts PDS-01 and PDS-02 that are not changed due to public comment are shown in strikeout/underline text in black print. Comment on draft PDS-03 will be open beginning April 23, 2021 and ending May 22, 2021. After the comment period SDC 200 will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. Any substantive change to draft PDS-03 will be provided to the public for comment.

Additions and revisions to the MINHERS® Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 proposed by draft PDS-03 are shown with red print in strikeout/underline format. Comments will be accepted only on the text shown with strikeout/underline and in red print.

The public comment period will be open beginning April 23, 2021 and ending May 22, 2021.

After the comment period, RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. Any substantive changes will be submitted for public comment.
