Proposed Changes to Chapter 2 Revising References to Grading Field Evaluation and Eliminating Affected Definitions

RESNET IS ACCEPTING COMMENTS ON PROPOSED SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES TO MINHERS® CHAPTER 2 AND APPENDIX B DEFINITIONS

RESNET no longer has technical support of JobWerks so the technical complexity and cost of managing the JobWerks platforms will outweigh the benefit of using this tool. Language added to the Standard by Addendum 24 requires use of the tool for Rating Field Inspector Candidates certification and RFI an Home Energy Survey Professionals certification renewal. To remedy the situation RESNET developed a simpler and less expensive graded field evaluation. The MINHERS® Chapter 2, sections 205 and 206 requirements and respective Appendix B must be amended to remove the requirement for JobWerks and authorize the RESNET graded field evaluation.

This amendment is of critical time importance. The RESNET Standards Management Board authorized its implementation as an Interim Addendum. An Interim Addendum is effective until replaced by a Final Addendum that has been finalized subsequent to a public review and comment process.
