Proposed Substantive Changes to Proposed Amendment of Chapter 2 on Instruction, Assessment and Certification

RESNET ACCEPTING COMMENTS ON PROPOSED SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES TO PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 2 ON INSTRUCTION, ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

Previously RESNET submitted a draft of a proposed amendments to Chapter 2 of the RESNET Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standard to a public review and comment process.

As part of the consideration of the public comments submitted, the RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 – Instruction, Assessment and Certification (SDC 200 has proposed substantive changes to the Chapter 2 of the standard.

RESNET has released for public review and comment the proposed substantive changes to RESNET’s instruction, assessment and certification standard.

The proposed substantives change proposed by SDC 300 are:

  • Section 203.1.2 – Achieving Certification as a Rater Instructor
  • Section 203.2 – Rater Instructor Professional Development
  • Section 206.1.3 – Recertification of Certified Home Energy Raters

Only the proposed changes (denoted in underline-strikeout format) are open to comment. Public comments on the proposed changes to the amendment will be accepted until 45 days after the publication of the notice of changes in the ANSI Standards Actions.

Comments are posted real time and you will be able to review comments that were submitted by clicking on Comments Submitted on Proposed Amendments .

Comments will be accepted only on the changes to the previously published proposed amendment.

The public comment period will be open until June 3, 2016.

After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. The revised proposed amendments then will be submitted to the RESNET Standard Management Board for adoption.
