Communication from RESNET Board President Matt Gingrich on Transparency of RESNET Board Meetings

Feb 22, 2019

To:     RESNET Network

It has been a true honor to be elected by the RESNET Board of Directors as the 2019 RESNET Board President.

In my first communication to you I would like to address the new transparency the RESNET Board has adopted on Board meetings. To allow volunteer members of the RESNET Board to be able to schedule their time, the Board has adopted a regular schedule of meetings.  The RESNET Board will meet every two months.  Two of the meetings will be face-to-face meetings that will take place in the Spring and Fall, and the remainder will be conducted telephonically.

Because of the work load that is involved with the coordination of the annual RESNET Building Performance Conference, there will no longer be a face-to-face meeting at the Conference.

To increase the transparency of RESNET Board deliberations, the RESNET Board has adopted a policy that future Board meetings will be live broadcasted through GotoWebinar.  Notice of meetings will be sent to the RESNET network along with the meeting’s proposed agenda.  Interested persons will be able to register for the meeting and be able to listen to the proceedings and view the presentations.

This new policy will serve to maximize the time of our volunteer Board members while adding transparency to our proceedings.

I look forward to working with the RESNET Board in meeting the exciting priorities adopted by the Board for 2019.
