RESNET is Accepting Comments on Proposed Substantive Changes to MINHERS® Chapter 2, Section 205.2.2 Rating Field Inspector (RFI) Deadline for Submitting Comments is December 3, 2016

Nov 3, 2016

RESNET is experiencing technical challenges with the current version of JobWerks for certifying Rating Field Inspectors (RFI).  In addition, RESNET no longer has technical support of the maintenance of the software program. The technical complexity and cost of managing the JobWerks platforms outweigh the benefit of using this tool.

The current language of the Mortgage Industry National Home Standard requires use of the tool for Rating Field Inspector Candidates certification so to remedy the situation RESNET developed a simpler and less expensive graded field evaluation. The MINHERS® Chapter 2, section 205 requirements must be amended to remove the requirement for JobWerks and authorize the RESNET graded field evaluation.

This amendment is of critical time importance to keep from having a lapse in the certifying of Rating Field Inspectors. The RESNET Standards Management Board authorized its implementation as an Interim Addendum. Interim addenda are effective until replaced

The proposed draft amendment is posted at RFI Amendment
