Feb 1, 2019

RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 approved draft PDS-01 of Addendum 36 for public review and comment. Only changes to the Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards (MINHERS) shown in draft PDS-01 by strike through/underline in red print are open for comment.

Proposed Addendum 36 amends the RESNET Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards to implement the RESNET Board of Director’s policy regarding home energy audit standards and home energy rating standards. It amends Chapters 2 and 7 and Appendix B of the MINHERS® to remove the Home Energy Survey Professional from RESNET standards and add certification requirements for Rating Field Inspectors. It also amends Chapters 1 and 2 to be consistent and update requirements for Rater recertification and RFI certification.

Public comments will be accepted through March 1, 2019.

The draft addendum, comment form and comments posted to date are posted at Draft PDS-01 of proposed Addendum 36: Rater and RFI Recertification; Remove HESP.  After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes.
