Proposed Addendum F amends Standard ANSI/RESNET/ANSI 301-2014 to create Normative Appendix A that will provide inspection procedures for the grading and assessment of installed insulation. This amendment provides minimum insulation installation requirements and grading criteria for: insulated sheathing, fibrous batt insulation, blown or sprayed fibrous loose fill insulation, open cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and closed cell spray polyurethane foam insulation; structural insulated panels (SIPS); reflective/radiant insulation products; attic radiant barriers, and; interior radiation control coatings (IRCCs). Each time changes are made to a consensus draft standard the public is provided the opportunity to comment on any substantive changes to the previous public review draft. Draft Addendum F-201x was changed in response to public comments on draft PDS-03. Draft PDS-04 of BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum F-201x, the fourth draft, is submitted for public comment on the changes to draft PDS-03. Note: RESNET is updating Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301 to a new edition that will incorporate all addenda to the 2014 edition. Those parties interested in development of the updated Standard should note that the most recent draft of BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-201x is currently open for comment. Comments MUST pertain to a specific section, table, etc. in draft of PDS-01 BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-201x that is open for comment in this public comment period and the section, table, etc. must be clearly identified in your comment. Example: Table 4.2.2(1), endnote (m) Comments must include a specific proposed change to the text of the draft open for comment. Proposed added text must be underlined and text proposed to be removed must be shown using strikethrough. If not submitted in this format, the public comment may be rejected. Public comments are reviewed by committees with volunteer members, that are Raters, Providers, Software Developers and other industry and public interest stakeholders. They are not reviewed by RESNET Staff. If you submit public comment representing the collective interests of a group of stakeholders, you are encouraged to submit ONE public comment and identify all stakeholders in that comment. While not required, this expedites the ability of the committees to respond to commenters in a timely manner.
