Jim Petersen Elected as President of the RESNET Board of Directors

Jim Petersen, Coordinator of the National Builders Quality Council was elected as the President of the RESNET Board at the board’s annual meeting in Atlanta on February 23, 2014.  The National Builders Quality Council includes representatives of the largest production home builders in the nation.  It addresses issues associated with increasing the quality and energy performance of new homes.

Previous to his current position, Jim managed the R&D process to improve the quality, cost, and durability of PulteGroup’s Del Webb, DiVosta, Centex and Pulte Homes. He also managed the PulteGroup’s energy efficiency efforts, worked partners to develop new products and processes, and managed the company’s  issue resolution process.

RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden welcomed Jim Petersen as the new RESNET Board President saying, “with Jim being a Mechanical Engineer with 30 years of experience in the design and development of engineered components and systems Jim has a unique background and perspective for RESNET.   Home builders are one of RESNET key strategic partners.  Having such a leader in the building industry will serve RESNET well.”
