Mark Jansen Elected as President of RESNET’s Board of Directors

At its 2012 Annual Meeting the RESNET Board of Directors elected Mark Jansen as the 2012 President of the RESNET Board.

Mark administers the Energy Efficient Homes Midwest program that conducts energy ratings in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Iowa.  Energy Efficient Homes Midwest has received the EPA Energy Star “Ally of the Year Award” for Technical Support in 1998 & 1999.

He began the program during his thirteen year tenure with the Indiana Department of Commerce, Energy Policy Division. Since the program began in 1991 over 40,000 ratings have been performed.

Mark is the past President of Energy Rated Homes of America, a board member of the Residential Energy Services Network, Chairman of the RESNET Training and Education Committee and is a member of the Energy Subcommittee of the National Association of Home Builders. Mark is Vice-Chairman of the Indiana Builders Association Green Builder task force and a member of the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis Green Building Committee. Mark is also a Building Performance Institute Building Analyst, LEED Rater and NAHB Green Building Verifier.
