On Saturday, March 21, a team of RESNET® staff and conference attendees volunteered for a build day with the Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio & Guadalupe Valley, following the 2026 RESNET conference.

Volunteers worked on painting, caulking, shelving, and other tasks with the future owner, Sandra Lopez, and her family, who will move into the 4-bed, 2-bath, 1200 sq. ft home in May.

Since 2019, RESNET and the Emerging Leadership Council have organized a volunteer activity in conjunction with the RESNET Conference as a thank-you to the host city and the industry.

This was the 4th time RESNET has organized volunteers from the rating industry to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity:

• In 2020, RESNET volunteered to stock and price items at the Habitat for Humanity REStore in Phoenix.
• In 2023, a team of 10 RESNET volunteers built and decorated a playhouse with the San Diego Habitat for Humanity to donate to a local family.
• In 2025, RESNET helped Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona build a home in its 25-home Alta Vista development in Phoenix. One of the lots was dedicated to the late President Jimmy Carter, who was a long-time collaborator with Habitat for Humanity after leaving office.

RESNET is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity affiliates as part of the RESNET conference experience. The rating community enjoys volunteering, and it is a great way to give back to our host city and to promote energy-efficient construction.
