RESNET is pleased to announce that active Certified HERS Raters and Rating Field Inspectors (RFIs) who have earned RESNET WaterSense Verifier and/or Qualified HVAC Qi Assessor designations will be issued a secure and verifiable digital badge for social networks, resumes, email signatures, and websites. These digital badges are made available through a partnership with BadgeCert Inc., a leader in digital credentialing and professional recognition. These badges join the current digital badges available for RESNET HERS Rater, RFI, HERS Modeler, and Quality Assurance Designees (QAD) certifications. In today’s digital world, professionals want the option to share their credentials online. Digital badges are used in professional and social networking environments to recognize achievements and establish credibility in real time with a single click. BadgeCert digital badges are third-party verifiable icons with information or “metadata” about the issuing organization, when and how the credential was earned, and when it will expire. RESNET HERS professionals may receive reminder emails prior to certification expiration. We recommend checking with your Rating Provider to ensure your certification date will be updated. Changes to your name, email, rating company, or rating provider should be made in the RESNET registry first, then your badge can be subsequently updated.
