Deadline for Submitting Comments is August 13, 2017 The efficacy of Solid State Lighting (SSL) including LCDs has increased in recent years to a point that LED lighting can outperform fluorescent lighting. Standard 301 currently has only two tiers of lighting efficacy – one representing inefficient incandescent lighting (15 lumens/watt) and one representing fluorescent lighting (60 lumens/watt). Addendum G proposes to amend ANSI/RESNET/ANSI Standard 301-2014 to add a third lighting tier representing very high efficiency LED lighting (90 lumens/watt). The RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 has proposed Addendum G which amends Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC ANSI Standard 301-2014, to add a third tier for very high efficacy lighting (average luminous efficacy equal to or greater than 90 lumens/watt). The RESNET Standard Committee 300 has approved submitting the proposed amendment BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum C-201X, PDS-01, Whole-House Mechanical Ventilation to the RESNET standard amendment public review and comment process. The proposed amended language is posted at BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum G-201x, Solid State Lighting. Only the proposed changes (denoted in underline-strikeout format) are open to comment.
