The Standards Management Board (SMB) has appointed four new members to the RESNET Standards Development Committee (SDC) 200. The newest members (listed in alphabetical order) are: • Rod Buchalter – RenewABILITY Energy, Inc. Rod is a two time President of his local home builders association (HBA), former gas utility solutions specialist and current Chair of the RESNET Cross Border Builder Challenge. His company promotes energy efficiency through the use of Drain Water Heat Recovery products. • Olga Cano – EPA. Olga is an Architect & Environmental Engineer in the Homes Program at the US Environmental Protection Agency. Her focus is on water management and water efficiency. She is involved in the development and implementation of the WaterSense Homes specification and certification system. • Todd Gamboa – Building Trust, LLC. Todd is the President of Building Trust LLC and has been in the building industry for almost 30 years, managing private and public homebuilding companies. As a building science consultant and public speaker, he has trained thousands of builders, architects, contractors, code officials, appraisers, and REALTORS® across the country. • George Trappe, Vice President of Residential Energy Services Co. Ltd. in Westlake, OH. George has been a Certified HERS® Rater since 2000 and also holds certifications from ENERGY STAR, Passive House, BPI, and the State of Ohio. He holds an American Lung Association Health House Builder Training Certificate and is a Level One Infrared Thermographer. The RESNET SDC 200 is responsible to oversee RESNET’s education, training assessment, and certification standards and amending the standards.
