Taylor Morrison Releases 2023 Sustainability Report

On July 31, 2024, Taylor Morrison, one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S., released its 2023 Sustainability and Belonging Report.

The report uses the RESNET® HERS Index scores as a sustainable construction metric.

Taylor Morrison reported that in 2023, “In most of our markets of operation, we utilize Residential Energy Services Network’s (RESNET) nationally-recognized Home Energy Rating System (HERS®) to measure our homes’ projected energy performance and estimate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from their lifetime usage.” The report stated that the homes rated in 2023 achieved an average HERS Index Score of 57.

Taylor Morrison Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer commented:
