As the results of the 2023 RESNET Board Election, Erin Bordelon, National Sustainability Manager of the national production builder D.R. Horton, and Ian Hughes, Vice President – Environmental & Government Affairs of the national production builder Meritage Homes were elected to two-year terms as Production Builder representatives to the RESNET Board of Directors. As a member of the RESNET Board Ms. Bordelon states, “My contribution to the RESNET Board will be to act as the voice of largescale production builders and the Leading Builders of America in matters that come before the Board. I believe it is important to expand the use of RESNET Standards and continue to solidify the role of RESNET, HERS® Raters, and HERS Index Scores as our industry draws focus and attention from large institutions and investors moving forward. I look forward to helping builders, raters, and our stakeholders align by increasing the effectiveness of our future new home ratings Index systems and continued adoption of HERS Index Scores.” Mr. Hughes commented, “I will bring a unique perspective to the RESNET Board with a professional career that has spanned time in the field as a construction manager, a global product & chemical manufacturer, and now a leader of one of the largest home builders in the U.S. While much of my career has been spent on policy, I also have experience with R&D, ESG, building codes, and corporate strategy.
