RESNET Standard Development Committee 900 approved Draft PDS-01 of MINHERS® Addendum 56, HERS® Modeler QA, for public review and comment. Proposed Addendum 56 amends the RESNET Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards (MINHERS), Chapter 9 to establish Quality Assurance criteria for HERS® Modelers. The HERS® Modeler is the new certification established by the RESNET Board of Directors required for all persons using RESNET accredited software to determine HERS® ratings for homes. The draft addendum, comment form, and comments received are posted at Draft PDS-01, MINHERS® Addendum 56, HERS® Modeler QA. After the comment period, RESNET Standard Development Committee 900 will consider and respond to each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes to the next draft. Any substantive changes will be submitted for public comment. Public comments will be accepted from September 15, 2021, through October 14, 2021.
