RESNET and the International Code Council (ICC) collaborated in creating the new ICC IECC/HERS® Compliance designation. The designation is for those RESNET certified HERS® Raters and Rating Field Inspectors that have the IICC Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner certification. To build up the confidence of code officials to HERS® Raters and Rating Field Inspectors with the IECC/HERS® Compliance Designation, ICC is undertaking an education campaign to code jurisdictions. As part of this effort, a video has been produced the “IECC/HERS® Compliance Specialist – Your Trusted Source to Advance Energy Code Compliance”. The less than two-minute video explains to code officials how they can save considerable time and peace of mind by using certified IECC/HERS® Compliance Specialists to assist their code jurisdiction with energy code compliance.
