Jan 4, 2023 General

As the result of the 2022 RESNET Board Election, Leo Jansen of Energy Efficient Homes Midwest was newly elected as a Provider representative of the RESNET Board. The following is an introduction to the new Board member.

Leo operates a 3rd Party Rating Provider for multiple HERS® rating companies across several states. He currently serves RESNET as the Chair of the QA Checklist SAC and is a member of SDC 900.

As a newly elected board member, Mr. Jansen brings a unique opportunity to represent the interests of RESNET Providers on the Board of Directors. He has a proven record of leadership in a variety of situations. As a military officer, he led soldiers in a combat theater during two deployments to Afghanistan. As a manufacturing supervisor, he effectively designed and implemented process improvements across complicated manufacturing processes that netted millions of savings for the Company. Finally, from a non-profit perspective, he volunteered his time with the New Partners of the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center from 2013 to 2018, serving as their Chair. In the Rating Industry, Leo served as the Chair of the RESNET Emerging Leadership Council from 2019 and 2021.

• David Goldstein – Natural Resources Defense Council – Associate Member Representative

• Mark Johnson, International Code Council – Building Coding Official Association Representative
