June’s Builder of the Month is Musser Home Builders, a family-owned and operated custom builder in Pennsylvania. In this month’s feature, we asked Charlotte Little of Musser Home Builders to share some insight on building HERS® homes for their customers. “A HERS® rating allows us to gauge our level of energy performance against the building code requirements. We provide our clients with this third-party documentation that shows that their homes will outperform the industry standards by about 50%.” She adds, “A HERS® rating has a direct impact on the overall cost of home ownership.
