Previously RESNET submitted a draft of a proposed American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard for the testing of air leakage, duct leakage and the testing of the air flow of mechanical ventilation systems to a consensus public review and comment process. As part of the consideration of the public comments submitted, the RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 – Technical (SDC 300) has proposed substantive changes to the proposed standard (BSR/RESNET 380-201X PDS-02). RESNET has released for public review and comment the proposed amendments to the proposed ANSI standard for the testing of air leakage of building enclosures and heating and cooling distribution systems and testing the air flow of mechanical ventilation systems. Public comments on the proposed changes to the amendment will be accepted until 45 days after the publication of the notice of changes in the ANSI Standards Actions. Comments will be accepted only on the changes to the previously published proposed amendment. The public comment period will be open until May 11, 2015. Only comments made through the online system will be accepted. After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. The revised proposed amendments then will be submitted to the RESNET Standard Management Board for adoption.
