RESNET has designated Masco Home Energy Services’ Environments for Living as a RESNET Energy Smart Program. The program was designated as an energy smart program because it requires that all homes participating in the program be energy rated. Under the Environments For Living program, Masco Home Services offers a complete suite of turnkey services for builders. These include pre-construction plan reviews that use industry-standard home-energy analysis software, various inspection services, diagnostic testing utilizing industry-standard authentication tools. Builders can also take advantage of building science training, sales training, and marketing assistance. The program also offers homeowner limited guarantees on heating and cooling energy use and comfort. The program provides enrolled builders a HERS® Index Score label issued by a certified RESNET Home Energy Rater. For more information on the program go to Environments for Living In order to be designated as a RESNET Energy Smart Program a program must require that a builder has all of the homes participating in the program energy rated and the builder markets the homes’ HERS® Index Score. Besides Environments for Living, Green Built North Carolina, Louisville Gas & Electric, Blue Grass Energy, Kentucky Utility and ecoHome have been designated as RESNET Energy Smart Programs.
