RESNET has undertaken a standard amendment public review and comment process on a proposed standard amendment to the RESNET national home energy rating standards to implement three key components of policies established by the RESNET Board of Directors in 2014. Those components are: Direct Rating Providers must utilize independent Quality Assurance Contractors to perform quality assurance on their Ratings. Establishment and definition of Direct and Third Party Rating Providers. On September 12, 2016, the RESNET Board reaffirmed that there will be Direct and Third Party Providers. Requiring Quality Assurance Contractors to be agents of RESNET and all Quality Assurance Agents be uniformly trained by RESNET. Public comments will be accepted until November 20, 2017.
