The Appraisal Institute has developed the Residential Green and Energy Efficient Addendum. The Appraisal Institute’s Green Addendum is the first residential green and energy efficient appraisal report addendum developed by appraisers, for use by appraisers. The Appraisal Institute Green Addendum provides items of high performance house features for consideration by appraisers. Through an agreement between RESNET and the Appraisal Institute, one can generate the Appraisal Institute Green Addendum and auto-populate it from the data collected in the home energy rating by a RESNET accredited rating software program. RESNET will be hosting a webinar on how raters can produce and use the Residential Green and Energy Addendum on Friday, May 16, 2014. The webinar will explain the importance of the Appraisal Institute’s Addendum, the role of the certified RESNET rater in completing it and answer technical questions on how to prepare the report. Presenting at webinar will be Steve Baden, RESNET Executive Director and Jonathan Martin, RESNET Database Manager.
