Join us in New Orleans for #RESNET19!

Oct 16, 2018

WORK HARD, PLAY HARD.

The 2019 RESNET Building Performance Conference will take place on February 25 – February 27 in New Orleans, LA (NOLA) at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on Canal Street in downtown NOLA. Our theme this year is “Let Us Go Forward Together,” and given the New Orleans location, we’ve also adopted a conference motto of “Work Hard, Play Hard”. We can’t wait to learn, network, and have fun with you next February.

5 things NOLA is Famous for…

New Orleans is one of the world’s most fascinating cities, and one of America’s most culturally and historically-rich destinations. Make the most out of your stay in New Orleans and the 2019 RESNET Conference will be an unforgettable experience!
1. Food
If there is one thing the New Orleans is famous for in terms of gastronomy, that is certainly the Creole Cuisine! Gumbo, jumbalaya, po-boys, etoufee, muffulettas and beignets should all go on your food bucket list during your stay!
2. Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras is about a month or so of parties named for just one day: Fat Tuesday, the last day before Lent.  But Mardi Gras is more in New Orleans. No one does Carnival like the Crescent City, the city is obsessed with eating, costuming, bead-tossing and parading that increases in intensity as Ash Wednesday nears. Mardi Gras 2019 falls on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, only a few days after conference!
3. Music
Jazz, brass, R&B, and soul are all done the best in NOLA. New Orleans has produced its share of musical giants, from greats like Louis Armstrong, Dr. John and Allen Toussaint to contemporary acts like Trombone Shorty, Big Freedia and Hurray for the Riffraff.
4. French Quarter
The French Quarter, also known as the Vieux Carré or the “Quarter” to locals, sits on a crescent in the Mississippi River on some of the highest ground in New Orleans. Not only is it the city’s cultural hub, but it is also a community where residents take time to welcome visitors in the streets. The RESNET Conference is only a ten-minute walk away!
5. Night Life
New Orleans is a city that never really sleeps. Come sundown, the night lights shine in clubs, on stages and on the dance floors of the city. Opportunities to listen and dance to live music are around every corner!
