RESNET accredited HERS® Rating software programs are required to update their software programs to comply with: The changes to the ANSI/ RESNET Standard 301 – 2014 The interpretation on ventilation rates adopted by the RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 The hot water amendment adopted by the RESNET Standards Management Board QA software quality assurance fixes approved by the RESNET Board of Directors at the Fall 2014 Board Meeting Previously the HERS® software developers were required to submit their changes to RESNET by August 1, 2015 and that HERS® Raters needed to begin using the new version of the software on new projects beginning on October 1, 2015. To provide HERS® software developers more time to make the all the changes and test the required software upgrades, the RESNET Executive Committee has voted unanimously to change the deadlines and to require the HERS® software developers to submit their changes to RESNET by September 1, 2015. The upgraded software programs will be required for new projects beginning on January 1, 2016. Certified RESNET HERS® Raters and builders are encouraged to begin working together on the new versions of the software as soon as they are released in order to give a full understanding of the effects of the change beginning on January 1, 2016.
