Addendum L: Duct Leakage to Outdoor Exception

Addendum L DLTO Test Exception, revises the criteria of Standard 301-2014, Table 4.2.2(1) note (m) exception for testing duct leakage to outdoors created by Addendum D-2017. The exception applies where the criteria are met for ducts located within conditioned space.

Addendum N: Normative  Appendix B, Inspection Procedures for Minimum Rated Features

Addendum N, Normative Appendix B, Inspection Procedures for Minimum Rated Features, was developed to move the MINHERS® Appendix A requirements for verifying minimum rated features into Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301. The inspection procedures have been updated and expanded to address dwelling units in multi-unit buildings. DLTO Test Exception, revises the criteria of Standard 301-2014, Table 4.2.2(1) note (m) exception for testing duct leakage to outdoors created by Addendum D-2017. The exception applies where the criteria are met for ducts located within conditioned space.

Addendum 39: Mechanical Ventilation Airflow and Fan Wattage

Addendum 39 provides interim solutions for rating homes with mechanical ventilation systems where ventilation airflows cannot be measured and for when ventilation fan wattages cannot be determined. These solutions are also implemented in the 2019 update to Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2014.

Compliance Dates

Addenda L, N, and F to standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 are RESNET and ANSI approved and MINHERS® Addendum 39 is RESNET approved.  The four addenda are now in effect and the Standards Management Board has authorized a Transition Period for the four during which they may be used but are not required to be used. The Transition Period End Date is July 1, 2019. Ratings on homes that have building permits issued after the end date must comply with the addenda.
