RESNET is making a concerted effort to educate consumers and home builders on the HERS® Index Score. As part of this effort RESNET has entered into a partnership with Green Builder Media. Through this partnership Green Builder Magazine is hosting a series of full page color announcements to educate builders on the HERS® Index Score and encouraging them to become RESNET Energy Smart Builders. This effort will reach the thousands of homebuilders that subscribe to Green Builder Magazine. The July 2013 issue of Green Builder magazine features a full page announcement on the HERS® Index Score. The announcement headline is “The HERS® Index is Changing the Way Americans Buy Homes” and states that the HERS® Index Score is the housing industry’s answer to the MPG sticker for cars.
