RESNET first published ANSI/RESNET/ICC Standard 850-2020 in the summer of 2020. Standard 850 is the Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Water Use Performance of Dwelling and Sleeping Units Using a Water Rating Index and is used as the basis for RESNET’s HERSH2O® and WaterSense Labeled Homes Program. The development of Standard 850 is overseen by Standard Development Committee (SDC) 1100. The next version of the standard will be published this year and includes updates for multifamily units and gray water. The development committee continues to work on standard revisions for alternative water sources and new technologies and is seeking two new members to fill vacancies. There are currently two vacancies on the SDC 1100 Task Group that need to be filled: • Rating industry representative (HERS® Rater or Rating Field Inspector) • Builder representative This task group typically meets for one hour per month throughout the year. If you are interested in serving on the SDC 1100 Task Group, please email Ryan Meres, ryan@resnet.us. The deadline for volunteers is June 30, 2025.
